When I released the Tutu Tunic, I have quite a few mama's ask when the women's version would be available.
Well, today I'm going to show you how to transform your Trendy Tank into a Tutu Trendy. It is so simple. And if you happen to have the Tutu Tunic, you and your girl can easily match this mother's day weekend. (grab that 30% off coupon in the newsletter to get the pattern for only$5.95)
I suggest using light weight knits, powermesh, or light weight wovens for the skirt.
- Sew up your Trendy Tank as directed all the way to the hem- you will need to use the straight hem cutting option not the shirt tail.
- Measure the bottom circumference of your tank and multiply by 2.5. Cut a piece of fabric that width x 5 or 6 inches long (depending on how long you want your skirt).
- Hem the skirt if you want - if you are using light knits or power mesh, you don't need to hem the skirt.
- Attach to the tank top following these instructions.
Voila, you now have a TuTu Trendy ;o)
Enjoy your sewing, and make sure to show off all those Trendy Tanks in the Winter Wear Designs Fun FB group!!!
